Meet Rachel

I built RKO Careers because too many people are left to navigate career decisions alone—especially when things don’t go as planned.

My background includes recruitment, hiring, HR, and career coaching, and I’ve worked with hundreds of individuals through layoffs, career changes, promotions, and everything in between. I’ve also experienced reorganizations and layoffs firsthand, so I understand how quickly things can shift—and how difficult it can be to know what to do next.

I live in Michigan with my family, and like many of the people I work with, I balance career and life . That perspective shapes how I approach this work: practical, realistic, and focused on what actually helps.

My Philosophy

I believe career support should be accessible, practical, and built around the individual—not a one-size-fits-all process.

Every client brings a different background, set of goals, and set of challenges. My role is to help you make sense of your options, share the tools and insights I’ve seen work, and work with you to decide what actually fits your situation.

There’s no single right way to navigate your career. Hate the idea of the “Open to Work” banner? That’s fine—we’ll focus on backend settings and other ways to increase visibility. Not interested in traditional networking? We’ll find alternatives that feel more natural and still get results.

This is about building a strategy that works for you.

What it’s like to work with me

Working together is empathetic, honest, and focused on real outcomes.

I work with people navigating a wide range of challenges—whether that’s age bias, nontraditional career paths, neurodivergence, gaps in employment, or past experiences that don’t always fit neatly into a resume. These are real factors in today’s job market, and they deserve thoughtful, practical strategy.

You’ll get clear feedback, realistic guidance, and support tailored to your situation. No pressure, no scripts, and no pretending the process is easier than it is—just a plan you can actually use and the support to move forward with confidence.
